Understanding what a spirit guide is will certainly help anyone wanting to further their spiritual development. Especially if you are exploring the psychic world.
Whilst most psychics will use the term Spirit Guide you may be more familiar with the term Guardian Angel or just Angel. Some say we have one guide for our whole life others say our guides change and some believe we have many different guides. This seems to be an individual thing - I think it’s kinda nice to make up our own mind on this. If you want a Spirit Guide find one but I’d ask an experienced psychic to help. Preferably one who attends Spiritualist Churches.

What is a Spirit Guide doing here?
Some believe Spirit Guides help chart our destiny by sending us messages of opportunity and change - guiding our journey.
Signs. I have met people who believe in signs. If they find a feather or a coin they believe it is their Spirit Guide sending a message. For some finding a coin means to change thoughts immediately - it is a way to bring them back into the moment. Some years ago my world was filled with butterflies. Books with the word butterfly in the title. Poems referencing butterflies. Pictures of butterflies and then real butterflies. I could have called this co-incidence but instead I took it as a message from my guide to not fear change. These butterfly reminders kept coming - I left full time employment to work in my own business. And it was the right decision.
Feeling. Often we get a “gut feeling” that something is right or wrong. Some say intuition others call it co-incidence - psychics say it’s your Spirit Guide at work. Decades ago I was at a Mind Body & Soul Fair and my gut feeling told me to visit the Yoga stand. I didn’t. But the thought kept coming back for the next two hours. Then as I walked to the exit door the voice got louder so (to shut this voice up) I turned around and went to the Yoga stand. I met Linda the Yoga teacher - and this meeting led to a series of events and meetings that resulted in me joining Ogilvy & Mather Advertising as a copywriter. My first job in advertising.
Disasters. There have been disasters in my life. But when I look back there were signposts and messages but I chose not to listen to them - it was fear of change. Interestingly enough the Pheonix did rise from the ashes every time and took me on a whole new adventure.
What is a Spirit Guide to those in the Psychic World?
Clairvoyant and Trance Medium Dianne Parker believes that our spirit guides are with us from very early in life. She says the Spirit Guide can appear as an inner knowing or a voice. In her courses she trains her students to be able to feel their presence. She says we are all clairsentience (clear sensing) and when we develop this we become aware that there has been a Spirit Guide with us all along.
